In case you missed it, Proof+Gauge is now open in the Falchi Building. This is the tasting room (and future distillery) for the Astoria Distilling people. They are primarily featuring their signature product, Queens Courage Gin. Back in October, we got a look at the space, which was seriously under construction:

It’s mostly about the gin and gin cocktails here, but there are other libations for sale—cans of beer, (e.g. Genesee Light, Butternuts), cider, local wines (e.g. LI’s Paumanok Vineyard, Red Hook Winery). You can also purchase “solar popped” BjornQorn. And branded items like t-shirts and totes.

They also are open tonight until 8pm—it would be a nice place to grab a drink before heading off to later New Year’s Eve festivities. And though they are closed on New Year’s Day, you can stop by next week (Wednesday and Thursday) to toast the new year with them.
