We’ve learned some VERY good news… Duzan, the wonderful and friendly Middle Eastern spot on Steinway, reopens TOMORROW, November 2! We’ve been waiting for like forever for them to reopen (it’s not all their fault for the wait—there was a fire upstairs that delayed everything). Here’s their Twitter post:

From what we can tell from their social media updates, the space will look quite a bit different, and in their words it will have a “rustic & authentic feel” with “the comfort & charm of the Mediterranean.” If I was to hazard a guess, the place is going to look less casual and more along the lines of the whole “reclaimed wood” look. But I, like you, can’t wait to see what it looks like.

We’re guessing there will be some new menu items, but are glad to know that the falafel, hummus, and shawarma will remain. Here’s hoping the irresistible amba sauce made the cut! It’s seriously good stuff.
