Today we’re giving away dinner for two at one of Astoria’s newest restaurants, La Gloria! This recent arrival is a well loved staple in their native Jackson Heights, and they’ve recently expanded in to our neighborhood- lucky for us!
For those who can’t wait to find out if they’ve won, you can stop into La Gloria for plantain laced dishes like mofongo and ropa vieja, plus other Dominican and Cuban inspired fare. We hear they’re super proud of their coffee (from Irving Farm Roasters), so be sure to add that to your order.

Let us pick it up at La Gloria, Astoria. The menu is limited to the items above presently. There is no alcohol yet. But the comestibles are delicious just as at the Jackson Heights original. We have to show our support so that the menu is expanded and a full bar is established.

I have to compare the chicharrones de pollo at La Gloria Café Astoria in juxtaposition to La Gloria Jackson Heights. Also anxious to partake in the pollo en crema de ajo entrée.
