If you’re looking for that cocktail mixology that’s going to rock your socks off with an intricate and unexpected burst of flavors and ingredients, Venturo’s got it. Every Friday and Saturday night Venturo Osteria & Wine Bar is hooking up with Behind the Wood—an Astoria-based beverage consulting company that helps restaurants and bars shake up their drinks—for a pop-up “Summer Solstice” menu.

They’ll be offering classic and signature cocktails alike.

Basic drinks include Bucks, Daisys, and my personal favorite Rickeys—a refreshingly crisp summer drink with some lime, soda water, simple syrup, and your spirit of choice.

On the fancier side they have concoctions like the Flower Power and the Queen Formosa. These drinks combine fresh, seasonal ingredients such as lemon juice and with lavender and hibiscus or mezcal with pineapple and ginger. For the more brave of heart, try the Summer Lovin’ a fiery drink with spicy jalapeños and tequila.

All drinks are summer themed so there’s sure to be a thirst-quenching drink there for any craving you might have.

Catch the Behind the Wood Summer Solstice Pop-up Cocktails at Venturo every Friday and Saturday night from 10pm-2am. Check out their menu below!

And if you fall in love with these drinks be sure to keep an eye out for their fall-themed menu, “The Harvest.” These cocktails will showcase more savory flavors set against the backdrop of herbs–like sage and rosemary–mixed in with fall fruits–such as pears, etc.

Don’t worry though, you won’t miss the transition. The duo spearheading Behind The Wood let us know that they “plan on having a big summer blowout with frozen thyme lime rickeys and a summer movie screening with sweet and spicy popcorn.” We’ll be on the lookout for that date announcement as well.
