Kicking off Saturday, June 20, The Newtown Road Backyard Film Festival celebrates its ninth year of intimate movie screenings with a carefully curated selection of classics. This series isn’t your typical outdoor movie experience: all screenings take place in a private backyard on 46th Street and Newtown Road, and are hosted by the festival’s enthusiastic founder, Frank Zagottis. Referring to the event as “the little festival that could,” Frank is overjoyed to welcome guests to his home for another year of flicks.
