Twitter Facebook Email Print Summer is here (whether Mother Nature decides to cooperate or not!) and the Garden at Studio Square wants to shake out the chilly weather blues with a diverse lineup of events. Tonight, they will be kicking off Live Country Music Wednesdays, in partnership with the country radio station NASH FM. The monthly event will feature live music, (hitting the stage tonight will be The Rachel Allyn Band) drink specials, Kenny Chesney concert ticket giveaways, and more. NASH FM’s Jesse Addy will serve as host for the evening. If you’re a country music fan in NYC that feels your favorite genre is often underrepresented, here’s your chance to enjoy some tunes with a little twang. Tomorrow night, they’ll be hosting the 5th Annual Pre-Pride Party, featuring a live performance from the locally-adored drag comedy duo Haus of Mimosa. A $10 donation to Queens Community House will secure your ticket for an evening of hilarity and drink specials, all to get pumped for the Queens Pride Parade & Festival, which takes place this Sunday. Ever wanted to front your own band, without the hours of rehearsal and songwriting? Check out Rock ‘n’ Roll Karaoke Thursdays, which kicks regular karaoke up a notch by giving brave vocalists the chance to sing their favorite songs while being backed by a full band. To add another brunch option into the mix, Kegs ‘n’ Eggs Sundays will present beer garden goers with an all-afternoon brunch menu, drink specials, and live reggae, island, and calypso music. Looking for solid seafood without heading to a beach town? Stay tuned for Shuck-It!, a shellfish extravaganza event featuring lobsters, east/west coast oysters, little necks, mussels & steamers and all the traditional fixings plus a massive raw bar, specialty craft beers and wines. We’ll keep you posted as soon as a definite date is announced! In addition to the lineup of events, The Garden at Studio Square has also curated a new regional craft beer portfolio including offerings from breweries like Goose Island, Two Roads Brewing Company, Coney Island Brewery, and Ithaca Brewing Company. To give patrons a chance to play DJ, they’ve installed a new customer-driven, integrated entertainment system that lets customers control the music and even provides the ability to request songs directly from a smartphone. With a capacity of over 2,000 people, Studio Square is looking to offer something for everyone. Will we see you there? The Garden at Studio Square. 35-33 36th Street in Long Island City.
