We were tipped off to the return of the Indonesian Food Bazaar via Mission Insatiable (which tipped off Reddit), and confirmed the news with a post by Dave Cook on Chowhound—the next food bazaar is THIS WEEKEND! Sunday, May 3 is the date, and it will go from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, there is another bazaar planned for Sunday, June 7. July is Ramadan, so there will likely be no bazaar then.

These events take place at Masjid al-Hikmah, a mosque that serves the local Indonesian muslim community, located at 48-01 31st Ave. These events are fundraisers for the mosque. They feature amazing Indonesian food, very authentic, not to mention delicious. Be prepared for lines, but the payoff is worth it. Sunday should also be a pretty nice day, too, so it will be a great day to be out and about.

Same here. Is there one in August? I grew up on that block and happen to be revisiting it when i happened upon it and loved it in 2013. After visiting Bali, this is the closest i’ve come food wise here in the states. Please let us know if there will be one in August.

Thanks!

I am visiting New York in August. Can somebody tell me when the Indonesian market is in Astoria in August?
