That being said, who doesn’t love a free day to play in the snow, drink hot chocolate, and take advantage of a wintry wonderland. We asked you to tag us on Instagram or use #weheartsnow to show us how you spent your day. Here’s some of our favorites. If you aren’t following us on Instagram yet..you should! You can find us @weheartastoria. Admittedly pictures like this did make it seem like things had the potential to get a little intense. I’m sure the black and white filter has something to do with that… I mean if you had to be stranded in a snowstorm, wouldn’t you want to stay at the Paper Factory hotel? When preparing for a blizzard that never was, one should always include some form of alcohol. What a great way to a make sure those beverages stay cold. Great idea SingleCut! We love this collage from reader and fellow Instagrammer. I especially love the little dog all dressed up for a winter storm! Curling up next to the fireplace (the fake one on Netflix) and reading under a blanket is how I spent most of my day. I would say The Astoria Bookshop made an excellent snow day recommendation. Do you want to build a snowman??? (Yes I do!) Those are some serious snowdrifts dude. If you look past the mountains of snow, you can see Belief in the distance. OMG don’t you love how this Instagrammer captured the snowflakes? We sure did! Chef Natasha of Bear is hidden somewhere in this picture… Our very own Meg took a great shot of kids (and adults) slipping and sledding in Astoria Park. No park to sled in? That’s okay! Use the street. If you don’t have a sled use a surfboard. Or skip the sledding all together and swing! I couldn’t help myself! I had to get in on the #weheartsnow action. Finally got to use my new snow boots! Thanks for sharing your snow day pictures with us! Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @weheartastoria!
