This is a traditional Italian-American celebration, and recognizes the Christmas Vigil, the Vigilia di Natale. (Vesta-21-02 30th Avenue, Astoria) Off the Hook: Has a Christmas Eve $35/person Prix Fixe, which includes a choice of appetizer (one of the appetizers being the Hook’s Baked Oysters-a WHA Favorite), a choice of Entreè (such as the Shrimp Mofongo) and choice of dessert. Full Menu will also be available along with the Raw Bar and new additions to the Signature Cocktails (Such as the new Kale Margarita!). (Off The Hook– 28-08 34th St., Astoria) Pop Bar will be open on Christmas eve starting at at 6pm and will close at 2am with $4 drafts and wells, plus $6 rum spiked eggnog all night. They will be showing X-mas movies with free cookies and a free stocking raffle (One ticket at the door and a free ticket with every drink). On Christmas day they will open at 6pm with $4 happy hour from 6-8pm and will close at 2am. They will have #ThrowbackThursdayKaraoke starting at 9pm. On the menu; Babka french toast w/ Chinese 5-spice infused syrup Scallion pancake w/ cardamon labne “Toad In The Hole” latke w/ housemade spicy duck sauce Reuben Egg Foo Young Japanese Curry Knish In addition to their extensive beer and cider menu, they’ll be serving the following drinks: Egg Cream Bubble Tea Szechuan Matza Beer (also known as Jan Olympic White Lagrrr); a collaboration between Woks and Lox, TQK, and Singlecut (Queens Kickshaw-40-17 Broadway, Astoria) The Thirsty Koala will be open for dinner on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day you can stop by for both brunch and then later that evening, Christmas Dinner.
