Thanks to the good folks at Astoria Park Alliance, we’ve learned of the upcoming Greening Western Queens Fall mixer! It’s being held Thursday, September 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. downstairs at Bohemian Hall (29-19 24th Ave). They’re calling this location the Cellar Cafe—just go down the first stairs on your right when you enter the bar.

So what can you expect apart from enjoying a delicious glass of beer? Read on:

Meet local tree care stewards and hear from community groups working to provide stewardship for local green spaces! Come for the drinks, stay for the conversations and join us this Fall tree care season!

Light snacks will also be provided. This event is co-hosted by three great community groups, the Greening Western Queens Community Forestry Project, Green Shores NYC, and Astoria Park Alliance. Here’s the Eventbrite invite—the event is free but they would like you to reserve a ticket if you plan on attending.
