It’s scheduled for November, but worth knowing about now. The show—which is a world premiere—will be directed by Dev Bondarin. Playwright Cody Daigle was resident playwright for The Playhouse Tulsa’s 2013-14 season. The play is rife with modern yet timeless themes: When a soldier home from serving in Afghanistan ends his life, grief settles over his family and the partner he leaves behind. In a series of scenes moving ahead a year at a time, loss transforms a family and sorrow finds a home in the bones of those left behind. APAC’s Executive Director Erin Moore, says this about the play and production: “APAC is thrilled to be working with Cody Daigle and Dev Bondarin on the World Premiere of this touching, timely, and innovative piece of theatre. In The Bones promises to continue APAC’s tradition of adventurous theatre, and it is a privilege to produce it for our audiences.” We think this will be a pretty moving and thought-proviking live theater experience, and tickets are crazy cheap: $18 general admission/$12 students and seniors. The show’s run is November 6-22 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St. Definitely keep your eye on it (we will, too).
