This weekend I wandered over to 22-78 35th Street, the location of what we speculated to be a Greek market. Word on the street is that Mediterranean Foods II in the Agora Plaza on 31st Street is moving to this location. Apparently it’s a rent issue—not surprising.
Here is what it looked like before:

Lots of plywood covering the exterior wall area, and there were no cracks in which to peer. Here are a few more shots of the current state of construction.
I live right near there. Been wondering what’s going on behind the plywood. Exciting! But a food store right under bird shit bridge? Not sure about that.
Good move! That spot was always an eyesore and took up valuable space and now has a chance to bring some quality foods.
I used to live a few doors down from there. That was my first apartment. I always hated the way Sunnyside Wallpaper looked. We now live about three blocks away. I’m so excited. I love Titan Foods and the place in Agora Plaza. Yay!
