We’ve learned that a 6-story building is planned for 25-26 Broadway; currently there is a 3-story building there, so this will be twice the height. For reference, the structure at the southwest corner of Broadway and Crescent just up the street is six stories high. 10 units will take up the 7,379 square feet of planned residential space, and there will be 1,037 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. No off-street parking is going to be provided.
City records indicates the current structure will be demolished in full. Looks like Tulcingo Restaurant will be displaced and who knows if they’ll be back.
This is a very busy part of Broadway these days, too, especially with Strand Smokehouse on that block. We certainly do not heart the predictable noise, dust, and traffic woes that will no doubt be a result of this development.
this is going to be hideous. they didn’t buy the property next door, so it’s going to be another 6 story eyesore
Soon it will look just like Williamsburg and other areas of Brooklyn
Astoria is being destroyed . Becoming another eyesore thanks to greedy development
I couldn’t agree more.
The area is being snapped up by developers who put in overpriced units lacking in quality
When is the completion date of the building?
Unclear at this point.
Tulcingo has been closed for months.
Good to know, thanks. I personally haven’t been by Tulcingo in quite some time – the last time I ate there was a not a good experience, so I’ve actively avoided it. With that in mind I am not surprised they shut down.
