Twitter Facebook Email Print We noticed the old Mezze Place/Mundo spot (31-18 Broadway) is changing hands, turning into what looks like a cafe. We reached out to the people behind this new venture and they told us that the new business in there will be called Willie O’s Cafe. They are currently under construction and hope to open by end of July. The menu concept will be Latin fusion, serving food in the evening for dinner (starting at 5 p.m.). We’ll keep an eye on it and bring you more details as we get them. Reply Mike June 11th, 2014 Bring Mezze back. Reply Evan June 11th, 2014 Hope Willie O’s will have some latin fused vegan options! Mezze was one of the few places that had MULTIPLE vegan options in Astoria. (Many of the new places opening in Astoria have a whopping total of ZERO vegan options.) Reply Emily H.
