We Heart Astoria Food Talk *Astoria Flea Edition*

First thing’s first – the Astoria Flea & Food is officially launching at Kaufman Astoria Studios this coming Sunday, 5/4 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Enjoy your favorite flea food vendors, which will be coming over from their usual LIC location.  We have the scoop on some of the ones that’ll be there, including the tasty arancini purveyor, Arborio King.  

Also happening on Sunday is the Queens County Market, featuring a tasting pavilion filled with delicious made-in-Queens food, activities for kids and live music.  The fun starts at 11:00 a.m. and goes til 4:00 p.m.  73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park.  718.347.3276

Even though Queens Beer Week is over, the folks at Astoria Beer & Brew always have something for us to sip on. Join them for a new Homebrewing 101 event on May 15th where you’ll learn the essentials for making beer at home.

In some juicy, hot-off-the-presses restaurant news, we were delighted to learn of the resurgence of Mundo, which will be coming to the new Paper Factory Hotel in LIC.  Long live the red sonja!
