It takes place at 7 p.m. at the Astoria World Manor. CB 1 meetings can be both enlightening and curious, and often there are 3 minute public comments at the start of the meeting. Looks like there will be an election of officers this time, too The consumer affairs part of the agenda usually catches our eye in particular, since it deals with businesses, many of them restaurants. Looks like Dutch Kills Centraal wants to start having outdoor seating (an “unenclosed sidewalk cafe”) and Applebee’s and DiWine want to renew their outdoor cafe permits. New performance space Melrose Ballroom wants to get themselves a cabaret license, too. Anyone can attend these meetings and see what CB1 is up to. They meet on the third Tuesday of each month, same bat time, same bat channel.
