We Heart Astoria Food Talk, 9/25/13 *Fall is here*

Fall is officially here, but we’ve still got the nice weather.  While it’s lovely during the day, the morning and evenings are chillier, which is just perfect to enjoy some warm, comforting foods.  Here’s a little sampling for you:

Speaking of hearty foods, I went to my all-time favorite Koliba tonight.  The food is comforting, hearty and always makes me think of home.  Their fried bread with cheese and garlic (aka Langos) is stupendous, and so are their bread dumplings, which come with most entrees.  31-11 23rd Avenue, Astoria.  718.626.0430

For those of you who are Robicelli’s Cupcakes fans, we were excited to read about an upcoming book signing of Robicelli’s, a Love Story with Cupcakes, with authors and founders, Allison and Matt Robicelli.  This awesome food literary event will be happening on Thursday, October 24th at 7 p.m. at the Astoria Bookshop.  31-29 31st Street, Astoria.  718.278.2665
