Astoria Arrivals – New York Dog House Over the past week or so, there’s been some chatter about a new place on 30th Ave called New York Dog House. It’s directly to the west of Butcher Bar in the space that used to house Marino Realty. As you can see from their logo, it’s a food spot, and our understanding is that they will serve hot dogs and sausages, drinks, and it looks like they’ll be having events as well. At this point in time, they expect to open in a couple of weeks. That can always change, though. Astoria can use more hot dogs; some hope for veggie dogs at this new place. IMO, the reigning hot dog champion these days is the completo at San Antonio Bakery #2. God bless the Chilean hot dog. It’s simply fantastic!
