Spring has fiiinally sprung around here, which is very encouraging.  Along with that, it’s great to see folks out in the nabe, taking advantage of the great things going on.  Some delicious things to chew on this week include…

So many awesome Astoria food things in the news this week!  Check out this coverage about The King of Falafel and the upcoming Cigar-and-Whiskey Festival at Studio Square.

IMG_5952Did you hear that LIC’s Charlito’s Cocina is rolling out a new dry cured beer salami? “Slowly dry cured with a bottle of fermented brown ale, pasture raised heritage pork, and hand harvested fleur de sel,” it sounds like a must-have item in any carnivore’s pantry.  They’re working on a special promotion this month, in which they’ll give away a free beer salami with any online purchase.  Browse around and see what you like.

Straying a bit from Astoria and into Sunnyside, we heart Bradley’s newest post about Salt & Fat.  Featuring his signature food porn photos along with tantalizing descriptions of their sophisticated menu, this is a must read.
