Hey David. Yes we do a Best of Astoria every year! We’ll kick off the nominations sometime in March and announce the winners in April/May. Stay tuned for more information.

LOVE ASTORIA. HAD THE BEST YOGA CLASS AND MASSAGE AT THE GIVING TREE. GREAT FOOD, ENTERTAINMENTM AND PLACES TO VISIT.
Really thought Michael Angelo’s pizza should have made the cut! Its way better than Basil and always impresses out of town guests.
Personally, I am a big fan of Michael Angelo’s pizza! The Sophia Loren is amazing. They cook eggplant extremely well, and it’s excellent on their pizza.
You know…there are other places in Astoria besides the Queens Kickshaw and Sweet Afton. Just sayin.

Are the options listed in order (ranked) based on the collection of readers’ votes originally used to developed the survey? I think they should be listed alphabetically so not to lead the responder. Great survey, bummed I did not see Alba’s listed.

Omega Liquors has the best selection for Greek Wines that I have seen, Not to mention they make their customers feel like family. Favorite shop for wine by far!

I believe the King Souvlaki should win the Favorite Street Food award! These guys deserve it the most. Food-wise they have the best food from the rest even though the other ones are different cuisines and are also top in their food category. But most importantly the King Souvlaki has been in Astoria the longest. They deserve to have their hard-work recognized. Also Ricky McBrides is a great bar, voted for them! Il Bambinos is def my fave restaurant. They are just awesome at what they do!

There is no doubt about it, the best entertainment and stars are Anita M. Buffem and Gina Marie Rittale of The Haus of Mimosa. They are witty, talented, and leave you laughing and wanting more! These divalicious ladies are going places!!!
favorite greek restaurant is agnanti… favorite bakery is parisi bakery and favorite street food vendor is the king souvlaki. all these hands down!

I voted for King Souvlaki of Astoria as my favorite street food vendor and agnanti as my favorite greek restaurant!
The fact that il forno on ditmars was not on the list for best pizza and that il tuffino made it on there makes me question a lot of the choices on the list.
Just keep in mind, these finalists were chosen by WHA readers. We tabulated 100’s of responses to get us to these results.
