I’m sure you’re already aware, but we’re big APAC fans here. This not-for-profit organization was founded in 2001 with a mission to bring high quality theater to Astoria, Queens, and to support local youth and senior citizens. Their theater productions are often cutting edge, thoughtful and have certainly exceed my expectations every time. I’ve had the good fortune to work with APAC over the last few months, and I can’t tell you how truly grateful I am to see an organization like this in Astoria. Attending next week’s APAC gala is a great way to support the arts in our own neighborhood while having a blast. I’ll see you there. -Mackenzi

THE TOP 5 REASONS TO ATTEND APAC’s GALA!

Great venue – The renovated Museum of the Moving Image is a stunning venue. Never been? At the end of the  night, gala goers will have a chance to explore the Museum.

Great Food  – Cocktail reception is catered by the Astor Room (Truffle Mac n’ Cheese!), vodka donated by Milano Green Vodka, and wine from Sonoma-Cutrer.
Dessert will include special cupcakes from Sweet Generation, an online custom bakery that increases access to Arts education for children nationwide by providing an alternative fundraising platform for Arts organizations and schools.

Special Performance/Film – You’ll learn more about APAC, an Award-winning professional theater company that’s been producing in Astoria since 2001. Don’t miss the video, it brought tears to my eyes.
