Happy Friday and welcome to Day 5 of We Heart Astoria’s 12 Days of Giveaways! Today we have a delicious item from our friends at The Chocolate Swirl – a sampler gift tower! It is a combination of 8 assorted brownie pops, 9 assorted classic truffles, and a choice of holiday pretzel bark or double decker brownies. It’s also wrapped beautifully in Christmas, Snow or Golden holiday boxes!

We’ve eaten a number of treats from The Chocolate Swirl, and we can confirm that their products are seriously tasty. By the way, they’ll be at the Queens County Market this Saturday from 12-4pm at Quaint, so you can check out their yums there (plus there will be $4 cocktails to get you into the holiday mood).

My favorite sweet treat has to be freshly baked cookies…you can’t beat chocolate chip cookies right from the oven. Although I love pretty much every dessert, so it’s a hard choice to make.

My favorite dessert is oreos and milk, or my wife’s cookies and milk. Nothing beats a warm chocolate chip cookie and a cold cup of milk.
My favorite sweet treat is frozen yogurt with lots of toppings!
Hmmm…either carmel turtles or “curiosity bars” that my cousin makes…it’s basically a brownie with melted caramel and chocolate inside. It’s absolutely sinful.
I worked as a chocolatier for a year and really have a soft spot for milk chocolate salted caramel turtles.

I recently rekindled my love of chocolate on Thanksgiving when I made a decadent chocolate tart. Now I can’t stop trying different chocolate shops and playing with recipes.

I love Lisa’s goodies. But if i had to pick one sweet treat it’s my annual birthday cake fron Franks on 30th ave. The 7 layer chocolate cake that’s always in the window. If it weren’t for the stomach bug i have right now i’d be drooling while posting this.

ANYTHING chocolate. Seriously. But especially dark chocolate. My recent favorite combination is dark chocolate and sea salt. I also have a special place in my heart for really good strawberry shortcake, and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
Last winter my roomie and I discovered a mulled wine hot chocolate recipe that is incredibly decadent, definitely made for special occasions.
My favorite treat from childhood… the Twinkie, which has been rekindled in my brain from all the press recently.
My favorite tangible sweet treat is anything made from dark chocolate. Intangible – the love of my friends and family! <3
