Welcome to our first giveaway for this year’s 12 Days of Giveaways! We’re particularly excited to start off with Bareburger! At We Heart Astoria, we’re all big fans of the food there. My favorite meal is the Classic Bareburger (beef), fries, and a chocolate peanut butter shake. So delicious!

We also love the space, which is very comfortable. The use of repurposed materials really appeals to me, too.

For this first giveaway we have a $50 gift card from Bareburger (31st Ave location only) to share, which should be enough for a seriously fun food fest there for you and a couple of friends.

To enter, just tell us in the comments what your favorite menu item is at Bareburger – is it a burger? The onion rings? Perhaps one of their salads? Their delicious shakes? We want to know! One comment per person, please.

You have until Thursday to play – we’ll announce the winner on Friday, 12/9. Good luck!

I love the Maple Bacon Cheeseburger with a big vanilla shake. That combo is the best. My wife grabs a veggie burger and we split the Fries/Rings combo with the awesome dipping sauces.

If I had to choose my last meal it would be the Ruby Burger on a brioche bun and a chocolate peanut butter shake. Pastrami…like! Bacon…like! Horseradish…Like! It’s a total win. I’m hungry now…see you guys in a few minutes…Happy Holidays!

I have yet to try BareBurger! Unbelievable, I know – especially since they opened the second location right up the street from me. But I’ve been dying to try the ostrich burger with onion rings and a peanut butter milkshake. And with a $50 gift card, I’d probably go back for brunch to try the french toast, which I’ve heard is decadent!

I’ve only been there once, but I was blown away by the bison burger and the dipping sauces that came with the fries. I am hoping to stop by the new Bareburger by Ditmars and try some new things! I am sure I will not be disappointed.

difficult to pick a favorite menu item…but if i think about what I get most often it’s probably the Maui wowie burger with grilled chicken. the sweet and savory combo is out of this world. pair that with some onion rings and a banana milk shake and I’m all set!

Grace

The Jalapeno Express with Elk. Now, really. Where else are you gonna order that?

Eileen Diskin

An extra thick, raspberry chocolate milkshake. Seriously, nothing better.

There are tons of great things at Bareburger but the best thing on the menu has got to be all the dipping sauces! Bareburger Special Sauce, chipotle mayo, horseradish mayo, PESTO MAYO and all the rest!!! I mean, come on. You can dip almost everything on the menu in them (or put them on top) and there is something for every taste. They rock my condiment-whore world!!!

Where else can you get an OSTRICH burger?? So good, and definitely something to brag about!! The fries are definitely a nice accompaniment (I’ll say those are my second choice ;) )

Tina

The turkey burger with cheese on a brioche bun & a chocolate shake! YUM! :D

Amanda

Def the fries and onion ring combo with all the amazing dipping sauces!

Ettel

I love the ostrich (when I can afford it) but right now my favorite is a lamb bacon cheeseburger on a brioche with fries. YUM.

Jenna

Definitely the Lamb burger! Juicy lamb with the perfect amount of tasty tzatziki sauce…yum yum!

Aryn

The classic Bareburger (beef) with fries and a chocolate peanut butter shake! You stole my favorite meal. And in fact, I had that exact meal there just last week! A classic burger, but with super wholesome, and delicious ingredients. The fries with all those yummy dipping sauces. And then there’s that shake! Geeze! As far as I am concerned, you can never go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter together!

Lindsay

Bareburger supreme with ostrich on brioche with a pitcher of Lionshead Lager.

The Western Bacon Burger is my go-to choice. I followed the Bison suggestion and have never gone back to any other meat. Salty and smokey thick cut bacon, crunchy fried onions, spicy melted pepperjack, sweet and creamy coleslaw, lightly topped with peppered steak sauce and all on top of a buttery brioche bun. I choked up a bit writing that. If you don’t like this burger, check yourself into the hospital, because you are certifiably crazy.

Vanilla shake. It’s simple and phenomenal. You know a place is great when they can take the simple things to the next level. And of course, they are veggie friendly!

Alice

Beef sliders, a basket of perfectly crispy/crunchy onion rings, and a raspberry shake never fail to turn even the worst of days into a wonderful evening. In fact, it puts me in such a good mood I just might share!

Sheebani

The beautiful interior, the sumptuous burgers, the tablet PCs that the servers take your order on are all amazing, but the best part is the chocolate milkshake with the shards of actual chocolate that dance the salt from the burger-and-fries (or gargantuan onion rings) away. Sigh. Delicious.

Haven’t been to Bareburger yet but have heard great things. All the more reason I would love a gift certificate so I can try it out! I looove burgers!

Taylor

I can’t decide between their amazing veggie burger or the portabello mushroom burger! Their shakes are amazing – of course – but I love that a burger place gives vegetarians some love! I also love their root beer maple syrup at brunch :)

Mary

The burgers, of course. BUT when I’m really feeling like a bottomless pit I finish off my burger feast with a Peanut Butter Chocolate Milkshake. And then I don’t share it with anyone. The big size. Dreamyyy.

James K

The original beef burger on brioche is so good I don’t see myself ever going for anything else. Until I try their brunch.

Lisa

Bareburger Supreme like whoah. Beef, brioche, onion rings on your burger!!! I am salivating as I write this. Then top it off with some fried pickles and perhaps a Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake. This is why I workout.

Kimberly

Bacon cheese bareburger – my inner heifer believes that bacon is the nectar of the gods.

Jamie

I love their turkey burgers with cheddar cheese and french fries!! Bareburger has the best burgers, it is always such a treat to go there!
