CARAMEL, LEBANON
2008, 95 mins. Directed by Nadine Labaki. This Lebanese film follows the lives and loves of five women whose paths criss-cross in Beirut. They work and play in and around a beauty parlor where their issues involve an affair with a married man, an engagement to a stubborn alpha male, and dalliances with the customers both male and female in this sweet comedy. In Arabic and French with subtitles. (Rated PG)
