When it’s time to blow off steam, what’s your go-to activity? Grabbing some drinks? Maybe takeout and Netflix? Soon, Astoria and LIC will be adding some new fun ways to get your kicks, and they just might make you feel like a kid again. As DNAinfo reported this week, there are plans for both an “adult playground” and a new bowling alley to join the neighborhood.

The playground, which will be located at Hoyt Avenue North between 21st Street and Astoria Park, will convert the vacant lot underneath the Triborough Bridge into a year-round activity space with ping-pong tables and volleyball courts. Ground is expected to be broken this fall, with a projected reveal in the spring of 2017.

For those of you looking to tie up those bowling shoes and hit the lanes, The Gutter, a Williamsburg bar/bowling alley, is scheduled to add a second location in LIC this summer. It will be located at 10-22 46th Ave, and will feature eight lanes. If you’ve ever been to the Brooklyn outpost of The Gutter, you’ve experienced their 70s theme, which will also serve as the inspiration for this Queens location. Sounds pretty awesome!

Who’s excited for some old-fashioned fun?
