Astoria is special in many ways, but one of the reasons why this is this time of year is the Independence Celebration!  Scheduled a little earlier than July 4, this is a wonderful event with live music and a terrific fireworks display by Grucci. Grab your friends and/or family, bring a picnic, and head to Astoria Park for a lovely evening together under the stars.

Music starts at 7:30 – this year, live music will be provided by the Astoria Symphony Orchestra. This evening also marks the beginning of the 29th Waterfront Concert Series in Astoria Park. All of this is free.
