QCA’s WordFeast program presents a reading of a short story-in-progress by Greek writer Panagiota Lilikaki. Panagiota will be reading from her long term work in progress: Mourning baba: A Translation in Mourning in Greek. The diary entries, of over 25 years, revisit the sorrow of losing the writer’s father, baba, the seeking of happiness after the loss and the power of love. Mourning diaries examine the proper way of mourning the dead within the Greek culture and the failure to follow the tradition. Panagiota will be accompanied by jazz musician Spiros Exaras. Traditional Greek cuisine will be served and a Q&A will follow the reading.
