Women at the Wheel: Becky Aikman talks OFF THE CLIFF and THELMA & LOUISE

Join us down the block at the Museum of the Moving Image for a screening of Hollywood classic, Thelma & Louise, followed by a discussion with author Becky Aikman on her new book Off the Cliff: How the Making of Thelma & Lousie Drove Hollywood to the Edge.

Author Neal Gabler calls Off the Cliff “one of the very best behind-the-scenes books you are likely to read.” Becky Aikman hunkers down, drawing from 130 exclusive interviews with the key players involved in Thelma & Louise to weave the unbelievable tale of a film that transformed the movie-making industry and paved the way for female-fronted films.

Becky Aikman is the author of the memoir Saturday Night Widows: The Adventures of Six Friends Remaking Their Lives. She was a writer and editor for Business Weekand a reporter for Newsday. Aikman lives in New York City.

We are excited to feature this event as part of the first ever Kaufman Backlot Arts Festival!
