Join a public dance performance for Earth Day! Help us break a Guinness World Record!
Salt Tree Art invites you to join an Earth Day celebration of the honeybee!
Honeybees communicate through a “waggle” that expresses the location of food through dance. Salt Tree Art asks you to #Waggleit by showing us your waggle dancing skills (with help from our dance instructors). The event will culminate in a participatory waggle dance that seeks to break the Guinness World Record for the largest waggle dance ever performed!
This family-oriented event will also include an Earth Day art exhibit and tables from local organizations that raise awareness on the importance of pollinators in our local ecosystem.
WHEN: Sunday, April 22nd 11AM-2PM (Dance begins at 12PM) WHERE: The Plaxall Gallery (5-25 46th Ave, Long Island City, Queens). Enter via parking lot entrance. WHO: Everyone is invited to this free community event! WHAT: Come dressed in black and yellow and ready to #waggleit in support of the honeybee!
