Solace House is the only organization in the New York City area that offers free, confidential, one-on-one counseling to anyone experiencing suicidal ideation or suicidal distress, those engaging in self-harm, or experiencing bereavement by suicide. In addition, Solace House provides support to the families of those experiencing suicidal ideation, group therapy counseling, and workshop trainings. At Solace House they believe that money should never get in the way of saving someone’s life, which is why they make their services completely free of charge and rely so heavily on the support and donations of the public.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Foundation aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the body (bodies) of loved one(s) who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland. In the last six years, the Kevin Bell Repatriation Foundation has helped over 700 families. This charity does not receive any government funding, which is why donations from the public are so important.
In an effort to support these amazing organizations, The Wolfhound Bar presents a Peaky Blinders Night, Saturday October 26, 2019 from 7pm until late. We ask that you come dressed as your favorite Peaky Blinders cast member. Be sure to dress to impress as we’ll have photo-ops, props, and specialty cocktails to take us all back to the 1920s, making us feel like the real Peaky Blinders! The night will be filled with great music by Alan Gogarty, Donie Ryan, Sheena Mullen, DJs and more! Raffle prizes and opportunities for donations at the door upon entry. All proceeds will be split between Solace House Suicide Prevention Center and The Kevin Bell Repatriation Foundation.
