The Heartland Nomads are an American-roots band based in Brooklyn. The band is made up of Chi Ko on vocals, Greg Meyer on guitar, and Andrew Quan on drums.
They met and became friends in Los Angeles while working at Liberty in North Korea, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and resettling North Korean refugees.
Their music is influenced by artists like Etta James, The Lone Bellow, and The Lumineers. With powerful vocals and stripped down instrumentation, they tell compelling stories about present-day issues through their honest lyrics.
In 2015 the band toured across the U.S. and settled in Brooklyn.
