After 50 years of championing the arts in Queens, Queens Council on the Arts will celebrate the borough’s artistry again at an unconventional gala inspired by the Venetian carnival tradition. In addition to the presence of renowned honorees, sculptor Joel Shapiro and photographer Tony Vaccaro, guests will experience lively entertainment including casino games, music, dancers and sketch artists. Proceeds will benefit QCA’s Emerging Artist Fund, to support artists and cultural leaders in Queens.
