The Global Refugee Crisis: Humanitarian Needs and International Policy

Join Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) for a high-level discussion in response to the outcomes of two summits on refugees and migrants, hosted by the UN and the White House, in the days preceding the event. Using a combination of first-hand field experience and top-level insight, the speakers will discuss some of the most pressing needs of refugees and internally-displaced persons (IDPs), and explain why this is the time to focus attention on this important and pressing issue. Hosted by Cooper Union Office of Continuing Education & Public Programs.
A Q&A will follow the discussion.
Panelists include:
Jason Cone, MSF-USA executive director.
Karen AbuZayd, Special Adviser to the UN Summit on Refugees and Migrants.
Additional panelists and moderator to be confirmed.
