For a second year, LIC Pilates–in coordination with the Hunter’s Point Parks Conservancy–will offer a series of free open-level LIC Pilates in the Park classes.
Based upon the Joseph Pilates mat repertoire, this is the perfect class to try out Pilates, a proven method of developing core strength and flexibility. Mat-based Pilates classes use your body’s own weight to enhance your workout.
“Pilates is not just a form of fitness; it’s a way of keeping in touch with your body, building strength and flexibility, and easing pain,” said LIC Pilates Owner Adrianne Yurgosky.
Instructors at LIC Pilates work with a wide variety of clients including athletes, pre and post natal clients, individuals struggling with physical ailments such as low back pain and other chronic conditions as well as those dealing with specific and general areas of tightness in the body.
