Expect one-liners, impersonations, puns, songs, goes, crazy stories and other activities that will make you feel the love! QED Astoria ─ a bar/performance space that hosts everything from trivia contests to poetry slams to cabaret shows ─ will present Date Night on Wednesday, Feb. 5th, at 7:30 pm!
First, the set up. Admission is $10, but there’s a buy-one-get-one-free deal! Romeos, bring your Juliet! Chandlers, bring your Joeys! Or bring your dad! It’s your plus one to use how you want.
Now, the punch line. The program features from real comedy couples! Some sweethearts will swap jokes on the stage. Other jokesters will perform sets written by their beloveds. One Casanova is going to sing ya some funny tunes! (With some crooning that will warm your heart) The lineup includes several professional comics and joke writers! (listed below)
Between acts, hosts Dan Ahrens (Nickelodeon) and Hattie Hayes (Martha Stewart) will give out gifts, and organize bonding games that insure every audience member will leave. Sounds like Date Night is the perfect event for a blind date, Pre-Valentines Date, or even a date with a friend!
