The 2016 BWAC Summer Shows offer a vivid, exciting rainbow of possibility. In Speak Your Truth, 200 local artists speak to what they stand for, what they value and believe in, what defines them as an individual and inspires them to create art. And color is addressed from an enormous variety of viewpoints, subject matters, media and styles. This says Lilian Tone, Assistant Curator at the Museum of Modern Art and juror of BWAC’s second national juried show, titled COLOR, where100 pieces have been selected to exhibit out of the close to 1800 submissions.
Special events are planned for every single day of the show. It’s jam-packed with concerts in many music genres as well written word programs which aim to celebrate and savor the wondrous variety of local wordsmiths.
