SUMMARY:The Astoria Bookshop turns 3!
DESCRIPTION:Thank you for another wonderful year\, Astoria! We’re planning on celebrating all day long to thank the fantastic customers who make each year so special (hint: that’s you!). \n11:00am-12:00pm – Alice’s Tea Party & Storytime! \nFollow the white rabbit straight to our doorstep for tea and treats! Starting at 11:30am our star storyteller\, Gina Verdi\, will be reading Alice in Wonderland and tea party themed books for the smaller party-goers. \n1:00pm-4:00pm – Face Painting with The Cheeky Chipmunk \nLocal Astoria artist extraordinaire\, Lenore Koppelman\, will be setting up shop in the bookstore and offering free face painting\, what will you get? \n5:00pm-7:00pm – Happy Hour \nFor our customers who prefer their cocktails with a literary bent. \nBut that’s not all\, we wouldn’t dare let people leave empty handed after a birthday celebration! \nFor purchases of $25 or more\, you can pick out a wrapped book to take home. Books will be labeled with the genre and the opening sentence\, the rest is a surprise! \n
