SCOTT CHESHIRE is the author of the novel High as the Horses’ Bridles, a Washington Post Best Book of 2014. His work has been published in AGNI, Electric Literature, Guernica, Harper’s, One Story, and the Picador Book of Men. He is a managing editor at The Scofield and lives in New York City.
MATT GALLAGHER is the author of the novel Youngblood, published by Atria/Simon & Schuster and a finalist for the 2016 Dayton Literary Peace Prize. He holds an MFA in fiction from Columbia and has written for the New York Times, the Atlantic, Wired and the Paris Review, among others. Matt lives with his wife in Brooklyn, and works as a writing instructor at Words After War, a literary nonprofit devoted to bringing veterans and civilians together to study conflict literature.
HELEN PHILLIPS is the author of four books, including, most recently, the short story collection Some Possible Solutions. Her novel The Beautiful Bureaucrat, a New York Times Notable Book of 2015, was a finalist for The Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Award. Her first book, And Yet They Were Happy, was named a Notable Book by The Story Prize. She is the recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award and the Italo Calvino Prize, among others. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The New York Times and Tin House, and on Selected Shorts. She is an assistant professor at Brooklyn College, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and children.
