A new theater group in the neighborhood called The Queensborough Theatre Project is having a VERY busy holiday season. They’re producing two different Christmas shows, both of which sound awesome.

 

First, what’s Christmas without visits from the ghosts of past, present, and future? The Queensborough Theatre Project’s production of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol is running at the Ophelia Theater through December 18th, with tickets available for purchase here. About the show:

 

The powerful words of Dickens are seamlessly woven into and around the songs of the season in this dark, joyous, raw, and altogether winning adaptation that makes its return after a four-year hiatus.  Enjoyed by NYC audiences since 2002, and Boston in 2013, this haunting celebration of humanity promises to thrill and move audiences like never before with its unique blend of chills, music, and heart.  Featuring a cast of 20, this is one “Carol” you and your family should plan to enjoy this season.

 

Second, for the kid in all of us: Peanuts Christmas: Reanimated Live! This casual, pop-up show does not require tickets; patrons can simply arrive at The LetLove Inn and are encouraged to give a $5 suggested donation. There are two remaining performances: a family friendly matinee this Sunday at 4:30pm, and an evening performance at 7:30pm. Sounds like an adorable good time!
