Fall Crawl is an Astoria-wide bar crawl, consisting of five secret bars with a free drink at each location. Admission is super cheap (only $3 online and $5 at the door) and all proceeds will benefit local animal shelters. The organizers’ main goal is “to bring the people of Astoria together for a night of fun and try to promote unity within the neighborhood.” They will not turn a profit; they’re just looking to have a good time and help some animals in need! I’m especially intrigued by the surprise element of the event: what bars will be included? What beers will they have on tap? At such a low price point, this sounds like a cool, go-with-the-flow night out. And it’s for an awesome cause! The official Facebook event can be found here, and tickets can be purchased here.
