Twitter Facebook Email Print If you’re the type that has trouble deciding what you want to eat, (Chinese or burgers? Sushi or pizza?) Queens Taste is the event for you! The all-about-eating event, brought to us by the Queens Economic Development Corporation and the Queens Tourism Council, will take place at the New York Hall of Science on Tuesday, May 3, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Organizers promise something for every palate, from “creamy to crunchy, fiery to flaky, and savory to sweet.” Vendors on hand include: -Modern Chinese from Flushing’s Mulan -Seafood from Joe’s Crab Shack in Elmhurst -Kosher treats with a Russian flare from Marani in Rego Park -Latin from Sabor de Cuba in Astoria -Trinidadian/Guyanese eats from Nest in Richmond Hill -Burgers and shakes from Shake Shack, who recently opened a branch at Queens Center In addition, clients of the Entrepreneur Space, a food-and-business incubator that QEDC runs in Long Island City, will offer samples of their artisan specialties. And the drinks will be just as exciting as the food: vino from The Wine Room of Forest Hills, Queens Courage gin, and coffee/tea from Coffeed will all be available for your pleasure. On a sweet note, Sabatino Store will have truffles and the Paleo Factory will offer a dairy-free, gluten-free, date-sweetened chilled mouse. The event also provides an excellent opportunity for networking. The majority of the 700 expected attendees either live in Queens or conduct business in the borough (many do both!). The cost of admission for Queens Taste 2016 is $125 per ticket. More information and purchasing options are available on their official website. Happy eating!
