Enjoying Easter in Astoria and LIC

If you can believe it, Easter is right around the corner. There are lots of things going on—Easter brunch specials, egg hunts, local markets. Here’s our roundup of Easter-related events in the neighborhood.

First, though, I want to highlight the annual Easter Parade—its not in Astoria but it’s close enough. Check out all the crazy awesome Easter bonnets on Fifth Avenue; people parade up and down the avenue showing off their Easter Sunday best, and more. The parade route is along Fifth Ave from 49th to 57th Streets, 10am-4pm. Totally free. If you can, definitely take a little time to witness—or even participate in—this 100+ year old NYC tradition.

Easter Egg Hunt

Since 2012 Connection Church has hosted thousands at their annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year they’re back at 2 locations—Astoria Park and Astoria Heights Playground. There will be age specific egg hunts for babies-2, 3-6, and 7-12 year olds. Golden Eggs for door prizes! Parents, we didn’t forget about you! This year we’ve stepped up our coffee bar game for you to enjoy.

7th Annual Egg Hunt

Head to Gantry Park for the 7th Annual Egg Hunt! Enjoy carnival games, live entertainment, and age-specific egg hunts. Hosted by Trinity Grace Church Queens. Rain date: April 2.
