Photo Courtesy of Cinema Under the Influence If you’ve looked at the upcoming forecast, it’s probably been determined that this will be a good weekend for movies. When it’s scary and snowy out, what better activity than vegging out in front of the screen, right? Cinema Under the Influence has got you covered, and it’s for a good cause! Saturday night, they’ll be screening John Landis’ Blues Brothers at the Chain Theatre in LIC, with proceeds benefitting the Chain’s upcoming move. The beloved neighborhood theatre will be exiting their current location in February, and the funds provided from this event will support them in their search for a new space. Did we mention there’s beer? A keg of premium beer from Rockaway Brewing Co. will be on tap, and a DJ will be spinning blues classics during cocktail hour to set the mood. Doors open at 7pm, and the movie begins at 8pm. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased on Eventbrite here. Check out the Facebook event here for more information. Stay warm, drink some beer, and support a good cause, all at the same time!
