Astoria Music Now! Between 2 Bridges is Almost Upon Us!

The annual summer live music festival from Astoria Music & Arts is almost here! This is their 6th annual event and will take place in or around the main lawn at Astoria Park on Saturday, September 6 from noon to 10 p.m.

There will be five stages set up as so:

• Stage 1—mainly theater and dance troupes
• Stage 2—solo acoustic and smaller acts
• Stage 3—comedy
• Stages 4 & 5—full bands showcasing the headlining act as well as other rock, fusion, funk, hip hop, and blues bands based in Queens

You’ll find local artists throughout the festival grounds who are planning on mounting visual and dynamic (interactive) pieces. And there will be food vendors, including Tea n’ Milk (iced teas), Frittering Away (lemonades), Arborio King (rice balls), and An Artistic Taste (snacks).

UPDATE, 9/4/14: This year there will be the addition of a 4-hour short film festival later in the day, the screening area and will be located near the Astoria Pool. A Bill Murray silent disco is in planned, too.
