I like to give people “experience” gifts, like tix to a show or museum or gift certs to restaurants/bars.
this year Fish’s Eddy has all of these cool serving trays. Turns out they are great Secret Santa gifts. The best ones mimic a doctor’s prescription pad, a parking ticket and movie ticket.
We love giving out black and white photos to family and friends
Love this store, has such cute stuff!
Wine and bar accessories along with a bottle of something good, but not too expensive.
a plate of homemade cookies is my favorite thing to give – especially snickerdoodles!
I love giving gifts that are unique to the area I’m living in from any small shop I stumble into. Keeps me from having to worry about buying the same gift as someone else!
I like to give gift certificates.
Books or something that’s really personal and meaningful
I like to give a lot of small, quirky, personal gifts. And sweet treats of just about any kind.
My favorite holiday gift to give is fresh baked cookies in fun containers and boxes!
I work in fashion, so I hit the sample sales pretty hard this time of year. Friends and family don’t need to know I got that designer sweater for $5.00…
I like to give homemade vanilla extract. Just a small glass jar with a vanilla bean and some vodka, shake once a week, and in about 2 months it’s ready. It’s homemade, heartfelt, and delicious!
Little things that’ll make the recipients smile.
I like to give books and accessories :)
I’m doing a lot of knitting…a headband for my sister and a shrug for my mom…not sure what for dad – but I better get started!
I love baking for people during the holidays.
I love love love the gift of either something hand made or a really cool book (especially for kids). And for my fam and friends overseas, I love sending them something they can’t get there. Even if it’s somewhat retarded like sending Twinkies to Ireland. (the warheads went over quite well with a grand laugh!)
Pies and pies and pies! :)
I love to give homemade cookies wrapped up in a pretty package.

My favorite thing to give at the holidays is a gift certificate to any of my favorite places to eat…such as BareBurger. ♥
I take mental notes throughout the year of things people would like to have for themselves but would never actually buy for themselves then surprise them at the holidays with this as their gift.
No one doesn’t like getting food as a gift.
Best gifts ever: Record bowls filled with candy/cookies.
Sidenote: Record fumes are only slightly toxic if you put them in the oven.
I love getting books for the holidays and any kind of baked goods!
Along with whatever gift I buy, I also love to include sweets from Artopolis for my friends and family!
Baked goods for the gen pop. Homemade toffee, fudge, cookies. I think this year I’m going to try out some chocolate covered popcorn or pretzels too.
The perfect gift for each person, individually picked to suit them.
handknit hats. or anything knitted, really.
Food books.
