Twitter Facebook Email Print Aside from all the amazing food news we bring to you each week, the WHA team also keeps a close eye on various community organizations and resources that make this neighborhood the gem that it is. Hospitals and places to seek medical care are crucial to every community and improvements in medical resources are a sure sign of increasing neighborhood standards. The recent expansion of the Mt. Sinai Hospital campus in Astoria was a huge step, and now we’re seeing other top NY medical centers follow suit. Brought to our attention by our friend Frank, who owns and runs BQT shirts, we see that a new outpost of NY Presbyterian hospital has also opened in Astoria. Occupying the large commercial space on 30th Avenue between 41st and 42nd Street, the outpost is fully functioning and open to treat patients. Here are a few snapshots, courtesy of Frank, which gives you an idea of the space and location. It looks like they’re still working on the façade, but aside from that, the facilities are up and running. Have you been to this new medical center yet?
