The Best Places to Eat with a Large Group Eat Well + Do Good at Taste of LIC 2019 Of course you can still get takeout, but if you’ve ever wanted to make some of your favorite Astoria restaurants at home (especially now that we’re home all the time), you’re in luck! A group of neighbors is organizing an “Astoria at Home” Cookbook that will share the amazing dishes Astoria has to offer and also raise money for the Astoria Mutual Aid Network. They’re asking Astoria restaurants to submit a recipe for one of their signature dishes that can be prepared at home by an amateur cook (you can do that here!). There will be four categories of recipes: small plates, mains, desserts, and of course, cocktails. Calling it “part-cookbook, part-time capsule,” they would also love Astorians to submit stories or memories from your favorite places or meals in the neighborhood, or what the dining scene here means to you. You can do that here. It will be available for pre-order starting June 4 and will be available for digital download in July 2020. You can keep up to date or find out more at AstoriaCookbook.com or @astoriacookbook on Instagram!
