Openings, Closings and Rumors: Mid-Winter 2020 Pig Beach Location In Studio Square Is Set To Open In April After much anticipation and heartache, almost one year after it was originally supposed to open, the Steinway Street Chipotle will officially open this Thursday, March 26 (TOMORROW!). Due to the current climate, they will only be offering take-out, mobile-order pickup or delivery. Still, they are offering free delivery on orders of $10+ now through March 31, 2020 via the Chipotle app for Apple or Android, or online at Chipotle.com. Here are some other measures they are taking to ensure safety during this time: Chipotle has introduced a tamper evident packaging seal for mobile pick-up and delivery orders. Customers can leave instructions in the app and online to request contactless deliveries. They have also introduced a new delivery tracker to provide step-by-step, real-time updates so you can follow your meal from the restaurant to your location. And, when you sign up for Chipotle Rewards, you receive free chips and guac after your first purchase, and then 10 points for every $1 spent, with 1,250 points resulting in a free entrée. You can order here, starting at 10:45 a.m. TOMORROW. They will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. 31-73 Steinway Street, Long Island City Twitter Facebook Email Print chipotleopenings Related scoops “Traditional Meets Millennial” At New Astoria Greek Rest (...) Reply Hal Dellinger December 2nd, 2019 It’s December 2nd. No Chipotle. What gives? Reply Eric November 20th, 2019 I just heard from a spokes man. They are opening November 30th !!!!! 2022 Such great news. Smfh Reply Sad Guy November 19th, 2019 Its November 19, 2019 as of now the store still hasn’t opened. I was really excited for this store to open, its now been reported as closed on google and doesn’t even show up on google images anymore. On the bright side, it does look like chipotle is accepting job applications online to work in this store. There is no doubt that the store will open, just sad that they changed the date so many times and never opened on the dates that were promised. Reply yo mama October 24th, 2019 Do you know a set date in November when it’s going to open ? Reply Claire Leaden October 24th, 2019 No, unfortunately. I don’t think they want to give an exact date now that they haven’t come through so many times. Reply Upset Chipotle Fan October 9th, 2019 I was just there. Surprise, surprise, still not opened. I’d upload a picture as proof but that’s not available on this forum. So, as of 10/9, still not opened, windows still covered with paper, about 7 UPS “we tried to deliver a thing” slips. ::thumbs up:: cool, guys. As if the food around here wasn’t disappointing enough, the one thing I’ve been looking forward to for affordable, consistent food remains elusive. Reply Loriana October 9th, 2019 I went today and it was closed. They postponed it 3 weeks ago… what’s going on Reply Claire Leaden October 9th, 2019 They now told us: “We normally say ‘opening Fall’ or ‘opening this winter’ for this exact reason as we always have delays due to construction, permitting, etc. that dictate timing. Rest assured, this location is opening soon, but as of now, it will be in November.” Sorry for everyone’s frustration but for now we will let you know when it is actually opened. Reply marty eisner January 17th, 2020 Steinway needs its big stores to “split” into small diverse(even funky) ,indoor, permanent “street fairs”.Building owners or leaseholders) should bring in some of the mall kiosk vendors/ ?, tailors, fortune tellers?, jewelers?,etc, etc) .If we continue renting only to restaurants, doctors offices and other services we will continue our speedy descent. Marty Eisner,Martys Fashion,Steinway ST Reply JimJo February 3rd, 2020 Not Correct! Checkout “Steinway Mall” between 30th and 28th ave. It is failing horribly. It is a mini strip mall. Nothing lasts for more than a year. Basically, it’s a scam for people that want to invest in their own small business! The “Mall” takes them in at a cheap rent, but there is little to No signage out front stating what is available inside. Nobody is going to wander in there, simply because it’s dead. The company that owns it might rake in the money, but that money is from the people that saved for years believing they could make it. And they most likely could have, had they not rented a 20ft by 12ft space in the back of a building for $1000.00 a month!!! Walk by that “Mall” everyday! Never see anybody walking in, or walking out of there. Every once in awhile I’ll see a shopkeeper sitting in a chair, with the look of utter defeat… Reply Dr. Michael “Mike” Essolhurtz September 25th, 2019 Not really buying the “spoke to corporate rep” bit anymore. Why haven’t they made any announcement on social media after how many pushbacks. Yet they somehow give exclusive info here. I haven’t gone to the bathroom in 2 months, I need chipotle ASAP! Reply Trash Ketchum September 25th, 2019 Sooooo in regards to this rep who keeps telling us the pushed back dates, can they tell us why they keep doing this? Why do they keep setting (apparently) impossible dates to keep? This place hasn’t even opened yet and I’m already done with it Reply TAYLOR September 7th, 2019 I’ve been wishing for a Chipotle in Astoria forever!! Not at all happy to have Chipotle coming in. Let’s find all possible ways to support and encourage to small business owners putting their own culture on the table – instead. Reply That guy August 28th, 2019 It’s easy to get excited about a Chipotle for me because I have found myself in the situation of having an upset stomach after ordering from local small businesses that offer similar cuisine. Chipotle is held to higher standards and more scrutiny with their cleanliness and food storage practices. I’m looking forward to getting consistent quality of burritos and tacos (with better vegetable options!) without a really unpleasant trip to the bathroom. Reply Ed July 22nd, 2019 Still waiting for confirmation on Chipotle opening a store on Ditmars. Reply Claire Leaden July 29th, 2019 The Chipotle press department has not gotten back to us on this front – the only location we have confirmation of is the Steinway location. Reply Tony Romero July 1st, 2019 Ugh…. of all the things. I have to disagree. I’m not overtly thrilled that this is coming to my area. I just don’t see the point of this place coming to where there’s so many good local mexican places that are small, fresh and family owned. I can deal with McDonalds and KFC. Guilty cravings late at night. But this? New folks that will move it will go to it because it’s what they know…and the smaller family places will shutter. That’s what happens when places like this open. Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
