It’s time for the biggest game day of the year—and the first event since the holidays to put us in the celebrating mood—the SUPER BOWL. But even if you’re only into the commercials, or are looking for an event without screaming people in war paint, there are options in Astoria. No matter what Superbowl mood you’re in, we’ve got you covered!
If you’re looking for a low-key, non-sports bar viewing…

29-12 23rd Ave
The Bonnie will be showing the game on their projector screen in the Oak Room. Chef Nick Testa will be adding a nachos special for the night: cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese, refried beans, pickled jalapeños and onions, chipotle crema, salsa verde and guacamole, with optional add-on of fried chicken or pork belly. They just launched a permanent rotational draft line of SingleCut beers, so there’s always a hyperlocal option, in addition to lots of other great choices!
If you want it to be an all-day affair…

Come join us for a great day!
If you’re 100% a Chiefs fan…

For every Bud ad the group sees during the game (oh yeah, that means the “seltzer” too), they’ll put up a point on the big board–and when that clock hits 00:00, guests get that percentage off their total beer bill. They’ll have buckets of cans, ready to go, and food by Old Thyme BBQ. Get ready folks, it’s about to kick off!
This party is for Royal Order of Rulpsen Loyalty Card Members only, but no worries, you can always sign-up for free the day of. No ticket required for entry!
If you’re hosting at home but don’t want to do the cooking…

Facebook Raven’s Head
38-04 Broadway
Raven’s Head Pub has their takeout menu in full effect for the big day. See it here. Choose from some of the best wings in Astoria (in flavors like classic Buffalo, BBQ or Teriyaki), empanadas, pigs in a blanket, and a selection of dips.
If you’re more interested in the food and drink than the game…

Sweet Afton will be showing the game on the big screen with the sound OFF, so it’s the ideal spot for folks who are mildly interested in football but majorly interested in buffalo wings or a Philly steak patty melt. Also, worth popping by to check out the brand new cocktail (which is also appropriately named for a Sunday night): the School Night! It’s Milagro Blanco tequila, Calvados, cardamom, yuzu, citrus bitters and soda.
If you’re looking for the usual Sunday plan…

31-19 Newtown Ave
Katch appears to be doing its same-old for Superbowl, but it’s same-old is still perfect for the biggest game of the year! With 50 beer taps and 70 HD TVs, you’ll be all set. Make reservations at (718) 777-2230.
If you want to get rowdy…

3301 36th Ave
