Relive Elementary School Glory w/ Adult Spelling Bees at Q.E.D. TONIGHT!

You were either the kid that was fighting for first place against your 5th grade arch-nemesis every year, or the one purposely spelling the second-round word wrong because you couldn’t take the performance anxiety. Yes, we’re talking about Spelling Bees, people!

Neighborhood activity-hot-spot Q.E.D. has decided to let us relive those elementary school days but in a much more fun setting. The new monthly 18+ spelling bee at Q.E.D. is limited to 25 spellers, and contestants compete for prizes from local Queens businesses and of course, the all-important bragging rights.  

The show is produced and hosted by word lovers Kambri Crews and Liz Simon, who attest the competition is tough but the audience is much more supportive!

The winner of the QED Adult Spelling Bee takes home a cash prize while second and third place runners up choose a prize from those donated by local businesses including The Bonnie, LetLove Inn, Sugar & Water, Lagree Fitness, The Museum of the Moving Image, The Noguchi Museum, and Lavender Label. Sponsored by Radeberger with $4 tall boys available!

So you think you can spell? The next Bee is this tonight MONDAY, June 24 @ 8 p.m.

After that it’s Monday, July 21 and August 26, also at 8 p.m.
